Quality Supervisor

The Quality Supervisor ensures that all procedures and documents are followed with HACCP, GMP’S, Food Safety Guidelines and SQF Implementation. This would apply for the Receiving, Labeling, Packaging and Shipping of Almonds following U.S.D.A. Standards for Grades of Shelled Almonds.

Essential Functions

• Supervise hourly employees to ensure compliance with company policy and work guidelines, SQF, GMP’s and safety requirements.
• Consistently demonstrate safe work behaviors and actively support company safety goals by ensuring all employees follow all safety requirements.
• Provide challenges and support team members while driving continuous improvement.
• Provide superior service by continuously meeting customer requirements and deadlines.
• Maintain records of all forms and documents in place for Quality Assurance. This would include: Verifications, Standards of Quality in place, time and attendance.
• The Supervisor is responsible for following and directing the Quality Technician’s job responsibilities and procedures in the various work areas of the Plant.
• The Supervisor will advise and help communicate to the Management team while working with other Supervisors.
• Schedule USDA for specific orders.
• Computer Skills for formatting Documents.
• Production verification of finished materials
• Maintain hold / release screen in operation system.
• Notifying manager of any food safety issues.
• Responsible for upholding all Food Safety, Quality, & People Safety policies and regulations.
• Other duties assigned by management.

• Frequently works inside / outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures

Required (or Preferred) Education, Licensing and Experience

• Product Quality
• Safety Procedures
• Food Safety
• Raw Materials
• Lab Equipment
• Knowledge of SQF systems or equivalent.
• Ability to think independently, as well as determine and implement appropriate decisions.
• Willingness and desire to consistently learn.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Food industry experience with Quality Control in the Almond Industry.
• Knowledge of U.S.D.A. Standards of Grades for Almonds.
• Computer Skills
• Supervisor skills with experience in giving directions and following through with training and Management of Employees.
• Bilingual: English and Spanish a must.
• Associates Degree or years of experience working in the Almond Industry.
• HACCP Certification

Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
