POSITION SUMMARY
The Technical Service Manager Trainee position will be mentored by the Division Food Safety Manager and Division Safety Manager while working alongside Technical Service Managers in the field at individual customer sites. The mentors will help the trainee become acclimated to the company culture, processes, and procedures. This position includes overall training to eventually take on the responsibilities for a Technical Service Manager role within Technical Services. This position is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of Food Safety & Safety programs within multiple USDA and FDA facilities across a geographic area while effectively promoting the mission and values of Packers Sanitation Services, Inc. to achieve strategic company goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Gain knowledge and experience required to be promoted into a Technical Service Manager role under the supervision of experienced PSSI Technical Service Manager’s.
• Demonstrate increasing proficiency and expertise within Technical Service Department.
• Technical Service Manager Trainees are expected to demonstrate positive attitude, willingness to learn, and exemplary attendance.
• Over the course of 3 to 6 months’, Technical Service Manager Trainees will follow a regimented program teaching them to perform all requirements and job duties of a Technical Service Manager.
• Technical Service Manager Trainee development will be monitored through weekly reports from the mentoring Division Food Safety Manager & Division Safety Manager to the Senior Directors of Food Safety & Safety.
• Technical Service Manager Trainee will attend a Food Safety Training seminar and the PSSI 30-hour safety course during the program.
• Communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally. Tailors communication style and content to the audience.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Associates or bachelor’s degree preferred or 5+ years in sanitation/food processing industry.
• Strong computer skills associated with Microsoft Office and basic skills required to learn new programs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Plant environment working in cold, hot, wet, and dry conditions, typically 2nd or 3rd shift
